Policies
We adhere to all BDNA policies.
For up to date bylaws including nail and jewelry regulations, wet weather policy, information on borrowing players, finals qualifications and forfeit rules, please check the Bayside & District Netball Association resources page under BDNA Governance.
Below are answers to just a few of the more frequently asked questions.
What do I do if we don’t have a full team on game day?
Please let the Beau Rock club president know as early as possible if your team is unable to play. Forfeiting is the last resort and BDNA must be notified by the Tuesday before the game or the team can be fined.
Most teams borrow players to make up numbers, or play with the minimum of five members, four being registered team members. The first choice for borrowing players should be Beau Rock players from the section below, to give them experience playing up. You may not borrow players from teams above your grade or section. Always double check the BDNA bylaws to ensure the current rules are adhered to.
Do we play in extreme weather situations?
BDNA’s wet weather policy assumes all matches will be played unless the courts are deemed unsafe. All teams should always arrive ready for play unless otherwise advised.
What happens when there is an issue with an umpire, opposition player or opposition parent behaviour?
If there are significant concerns, please report them to a Bayside and District Netball Association representative present at the time of the poor behaviour and then to our club president afterwards.
Full dispute resolution details are outlined in the bylaws.
What about if there is an issue within your own team?
If there are significant concerns, please report them to the Beau Rock Netball Club Child Safety Officer. All Child Safety Policy information and our Child Safety Officer’s details are on our Welcome page.
Can I get a refund if I don't play all season?
Refund applications must be in writing to the club email address, and refunds will only be considered for reasons of long term illness, injury or permanent relocation. Refunds will not be granted due to a short term illness or injury, change of mind, family holidays, suspension or disciplinary measure. A medical certificate or other satisfactory evidence to support the application, may be requested by the committee.
If an application is approved, the refund amount will be 100% before round 1 and 50% prior to round 8. No refund will be given after round 8 except in very exceptional circumstances, with the amount to be determined solely at the committee's discretion.
If there is not a place available in a team, a full refund of club fees will be given.
Please note that Beau Rock can only refund the club fee portion of the registration fee paid. Netball Victoria registration fees can only be refunded by Netball Victoria directly via their online form.
